Broulee on the Box was a fantastic experience for everyone! IE and IL did amazingly well remembering 3 dances and putting it all together on the night! As did the Year One children in K/1W. Well done to all and thank you to all of the families helped out along the way and who came to watch, it made the children feel very special. The videos are now uploaded to the school website
Broulee Public School Website Despite the heat and wind, Year One had a great day completing the Walk-a-Thon and Colour Run. Our walk along North Broulee Beach and Shark Bay was beautiful followed by lunch at the surf club and then back to school for some fun in the colour run. All of the students showed fantastic determination, finishing the course despite the hot, windy conditions. Thank you to all of the parents, carers and grandparents who walked with us today. This weeks winners received their awards in front of a large audience - and some were in good disguise!
To help celebrate Book Week, Mrs Jones brought some Year 3 students to Year One to demonstrate how to read with expression and punctuation. They made a poster with some reading tips on it for Year One. Thank you Year 3, your reading was great and we love our new poster! Thank you to everyone who came and supported our Book Week Parade. The costumes were amazing. Year One came up with some great reasons as to why reading is there Secret Power! Reading is my Secret Power because.... it helps me to learn new things, it challenges me, it helps people remember, it helps me to have a good imagination, it helps me to understand new things, it helps my eyesight! |
